Responsibilities
As a Proposal Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing customer requests for quotations to identify the optimal technical solutions, based on the capabilities of our various platforms, and preparing both technical and commercial proposals that best align with customer requirements. This role supports the commercial activities of the Inspection Department.
- Utilizing the CRM system (Salesforce) to generate technical and commercial quotes, update our service catalog, manage interactions with existing and potential clients, track your sales pipeline, and monitor the progress of sales-related objectives (e.g., order intake targets).
- Engaging in additional sales-related activities, such as attending customer meetings to provide technical expertise, and occasionally representing the company at trade exhibitions to enhance market visibility and generate sales leads.
As a Proposal Engineer and member of the Global Sales & Marketing Department, you will be responsible for preparing quotations and processing orders, maintaining communication with customers, and collaborating closely with both the Operations Department and the Global Sales Department and be the primary point of contact for customers.
Experience & Knowledge
- Fluent English and Italian language
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in medium / high-voltage transmission and distribution electrical equipment (preferable switchgears, circuit breakers etc.) is highly desirable
- Experience in a R&D team or in project management for transmission and distribution electrical equipment is highly desirable
