Minimum of twenty (20) years of experience in multi-national and multi-disciplinary projects. Must have a proven track record in managing the construction and commissioning of large thermal power plants and/or synchronous condenser projects.
Role Description:
The Site
Construction Manager shall oversee all site activities performed by the EPC Contractor, ensuring that works are executed in full compliance with contractual requirements, technical specifications, and approved schedules. The incumbent will be responsible for verifying the accuracy, methodology, quality control, and timely execution of all construction and commissioning activities.
In addition, the Site Construction Manager will supervise and coordinate our client's personnel assigned to the site, providing leadership and direction to ensure effective project execution.
The role requires comprehensive familiarity with engineering drawings and documentation, construction methods and supervision, project planning, material inspection and review, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures, testing and commissioning activities, and associated reporting and documentation.
The Site Construction Manager must possess sound knowledge of recognized international and local engineering codes and standards, directives, and safety regulations, including but not limited to:
ASME, ASTM, API, DIN, VGB, EN, NFPA, HCIS, ISO, ISA, ATEX, NEC, IEC, IEEE, ACI, ANSI, ASCE, SBC, COMPANY ISD, Saudi Grid Code, NCEC Environmental Regulations, AWS, ASHRAE, OSHA, UL, FM, and relevant OEM standards and practices.
Familiarity with the laws, regulations, and codes applicable within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is also essential.
